Overcoming Architectural Challenges in a Historic Mill Conversion
Meadow Mill, a landmark 19th-century building in Stockport, underwent a meticulous transformation into 213 luxury apartments. This ambitious project presented a number of unique challenges, particularly in terms of window treatments. The building’s distinctive architectural features, including deep window recesses, demanded innovative solutions.
The Challenge
The historic character of Meadow Mill, while undeniably charming, posed significant obstacles for the installation of window blinds. The building’s unique window recesses required a custom approach to ensure the blinds were both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, the high-quality finish of the apartments demanded blinds that complemented the modern interiors while respecting the building’s heritage.
Our Solution
To overcome these challenges, our team conducted a thorough site survey to assess the specific requirements of each apartment. We developed bespoke mounting solutions to securely install blinds within the intricate window recesses. By utilizing high-quality materials and expert craftsmanship, we created window treatments that not only met the functional needs of the residents but also enhanced the overall aesthetic appeal of the apartments.

Our tailored approach resulted in the successful installation of blinds throughout the entire Meadow Mill development.
